遅い夏休みを取って，沖縄に行ってきました．沖縄の自然，食，そして人の温かさに触れた旅でした．
I took a late summer vacation to Okinawa. I enjoyed nature and food, and felt the kindness of people.
その中でも自然について，紹介したいと思います．
写真は沖縄本島の南部にある「ガンガラーの谷」で撮った一枚．
ガンガラーの谷は琉球石灰岩の鍾乳洞が崩落してできた谷です．
このガジュマルは樹齢150年ほどと言われているそうです．ガジュマルはとても成長の早い木で，杉などがこの太さになるためにはもう一桁長い時間が必要だそうです．
I'd like to introduce natural landscape of Okinawa.
This picture is inside of "the Valley of Gangala" located in the southern part of the main island of Okinawa.
The valley was formed by the collapse of a Ryukyu limestone cave.
This banyan tree is 150 years old (estimated).
Banyan trees grow fast. It takes ten times as long for cedar trees to reach this thickness.
